CONTROVERSIAL plans for a new childcare facility in Darwen have been announced.
Bosses at Primrose Trading have submitted a planning application to convert a former industrial building in Primrose Street, catering for 35 children.
But five letters of objection have been received on the project, which is in a mainly residential area.
Concerns over parking and disruption to nearby houses have been raised.
The proposals are set to go before planners at Blackburn with Darwen Council on Thursday, chaired by Coun Jim Smith.
