A SHOP which was deemed structurally unsafe after being hit by a car is to continue trading.
Pam and Neil Floyd’s Equine Direct business in Union Road, Oswaldtwistle, was struck by an out of control Peugeot 106 on Saturday afternoon.
The impact shook the premises, but fortunately the driver and shop assistant were unharmed.
Union Road was closed over the weekend as council building inspectors and scaffolders made the scene safe.
Pam Floyd said: “We are going to continue to trade and any disruption due to structural work will be kept to a minimum.
“We are offering a delivery service available for our customers who can call me on 07834 783309.”
Investigations into the smash are ongoing.
Hyndburn fire service said the road surface at the time was ‘very greasy’.
The motorist, a woman in her early twenties from Accrington, did not require hospital treatment.
