RIBBLESDALE High School used Twitter to provide minute-updates on a day in the life of the school.

The Clitheroe school held different workshops and gave live updates with photos and videos on their Twitter page on Friday.

The school organised several workshops on all types of activity from car maintenance to hospitality and catering as well as a number of sporting activities around school.

One team of pupils were tasked with the role of becoming journalists for the day.

They gave live tweets and feeds about the activities which had been organised for the day.

The students tweeted more than a dozen articles.

They included a skate park report, breakfast time, catering and a game of dungeons and dragons.

The day was held as part of national Shine day which is aimed at celebrating the talents of all young people in the school.

Many of the workshops were being run by pupils to showcase their talents.
