A MAN who fell from a bridge onto the M65 motorway on Monday remains in hospital.
The man suffered serious injuries when he fell from the canal bridge in Rishton into oncoming traffic between junction six and seven.
Emergency crews including the police and paramedics were called to the scene at just before 6.20pm.
The man, was found lying on the ground, unconscious and bleeding.
He was suffering from severe internal and head injuries.
He was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital by ambulance.
A spokesperson for Lancashire police said he has now been transferred to Royal Preston Hospital where his injuries are not life-threatening.
Rush hour traffic was delayed for around 20 minutes as emergency crews dealt with the incident.
