THE family of a soldier killed in Afghanistan have once again bared all in a calendar to raise money for troops injured in battle.

Mandy Paul came up with the idea for the calendar as a way of raising money in memory of her nephew, Lance Corporal Jordan Dean Bancroft, who lived in Earby.

The 25-year-old, of the 1st Battalion Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment, was shot dead by insurgents on August 21 last year as he provided security for a meeting in Helmand Province.

His aunt Mandy, said all the money raised through sales of the calendar would go to the regiment to help serving and former soldiers and their families.

The ‘Bare All for the Dukes 2011’ calendar features members of L/Cpl Bancroft’s family and friends in a variety of ‘tastefully nude’ poses.

Mandy is hoping to raise more than £20,000 by selling the calendar, which is priced at £10 and available at the website below.
