AN ALTERNATIVE Olympics for teenagers is to get under way in Oswaldtwistle on July 23.
The Big Game, a sporting event developed by young people from Oswaldtwistle’s Civic Arts Centre and Pendle-based youth theatre Fuse, will take place at Rhyddings Park.
Teams of players will be competing in a series of new sports invented by young people from Lancashire with artist Tom Russotti from the Institute of Aesthletics, New York.
Last year, games included Laundry Badminton, Domestic Dash, Flying Saucer, Fling Shot and Space Race. * The Big Game takes place at Rhyddings Parkm, Oswaldtwistle on July 23. It commences at 1pm and is due to finish at 4pm. For more information see the website below.
