AN Accrington woman has been fined after subjecting neighbours to nights of loud music.
The conviction comes as part of a new noisy neighbour' clampdown in Hyndburn.
A court heard that Rebecca Wolfenden, 21, of Chestnut Grove, was, on one occasion, caught playing "loud thumping" music from 12.30am through until 6.30am.
Neighbours complained to Hyndburn Council that Wolfenden was listening to drum and bass music and she was handed an abatement notice and warned that if her behaviour continued she would face court.
She admitted breaching the notice and was fined £100 with £250 costs.
Coun Peter Clarke said, "People should have the right to live in peace without being troubled by noisy neighbours.
"This new prosecution shows that our Night Time Noise Service is working and that we won't tolerate this type of behaviour in Hyndburn."
