THE names of the six candidates who will contest Blackburn with Darwen Council's East Rural by-election have been confirmed.
The by-election, on Thursday, September 28, has been triggered by the death of Councillor Fred Slater.
Candidates are: Brian Frederick Dunning, Liberal Democrat, Stephen William Hart, England First Party, Nick Holt, British National Party, Stella McLennan, Labour, Paul Raseta, Conservative and Julie Slater, Independent.
