A MAN from Pendle who allowed his dogs to foul in the street has been ordered to pay £260.
Stephen Coffey, 24, now of Laithe Street in Colne, was fined £175, and also ordered to pay costs of £85 for allowing his dogs to foul on a grassed area on Dickson Street.
Following a number of complaints from Mr Coffey’s neighbours in Chatham Street, Colne, the Dog Warden began an investigation.
In January this year, Mr Coffey was caught letting his dogs outside to foul before calling them back inside.
He was issued with a fixed penalty notice, which carries a fine of £75 and given 14 days to pay.
But Mr Coffey failed to pay and his case was heard in his absence at Reedley Magistrates Court on July 7.
