TWO men aged 20 and 18 have been arrested in connection with an assault on a Darwen man, following an appeal in the Lancashire Telegraph.
Martin, 42, who asked for his surname not to be printed for fear of reprisals, was attacked after challenging three men who allegedly verbally abused his stepdaughter.
He believed the 1.30am attack at the corner of Vale Street and Queens Street on August 25 was because they thought his London accent made him sound like a "posh snob".
The pair arrested were bailed pending further police enquires.
