A BID to create an enterprise zone in Lancashire must go up against 29 other proposals from across the country.
In the second round of applications, Lancashire’s bid for the areas around BAE’s Samlesbury and Warton sites will be considered.
Only 10 are to be successful.
LEP chairman Edwin Booth said: “This bid aims to ensure Lancashire is at the heart of pioneering the next wave of technological advances.”
The Government will announce the successful bids later in the summer.
