A man was left with a fractured cheekbone after an assault in a Burnley bar at the weekend.
The attack happened at around 2.30am on Sunday when a 24-year-old man from the town was hit by another man in Pharaohs Egyptian Bar in Hargreaves Street.
He was treated at Royal Blackburn Hospital and is due to have corrective surgery later this week.
A 20-year-old man from Burnley was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released whilst further enquiries are carried out.
DC Andrew Maden said: “The incident took place inside the bar on the ground floor close to the front windows.
“I believe the bar would have been very busy at this time and I want to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.”
