Flowers, fresh air and fun were the order of the day at Trawden Garden Festival and Scarecrow Trail at the weekend.
Visitors on Saturday and Sunday could admire gardens and dozens of scarecrows scattered around the village.
Seven-year-old Tash Gardner proved worthy of her name winning first prize for her creative container, and second for her hanging basket.
Ash Street residents won first prize for best terrace row and a prize for their scarecrows.
The theme for the 2011 festival was 'books and authors'.
