A BUSY road has been closed in both directions this afternoon after a pedestrian was knocked down in Brierfield.
Police were called to the scene of the accident on the A682 Colne Road, just before 2pm.

A man, who is thought to be deaf, was hit by a car, but is not though to be seriously injured.
Police officers have accompanied him to Blackburn Royal Hospital where he being assessed.
Traffic officers at the scene of the accident, between the B&Q roundabout and Halifax Road, have closed the road in both directions.
The incident is affecting traffic between Nelson and Brierfield.
A diversion has been set up via Lomeshaye Road, Hibson Road and Halifax Road.
