HUNDREDS of people enjoyed the Rishton Festival in the sunshine in the grounds Norden High School on Saturday.
A procession of floats, accompanied by the Haslingden & Helmshore Brass Band, set off from outside the Rishton Arms in the morning.
The event was officially opened by the Mayor of Hyndburn, Coun Colette McCormack.
Local groups who took part included Prospects, Rishton Utd FC, Lancashire Police, Friends of Rishton Youth and Rishton Horticultural Society.
The theme for this year was characters from film, television and books, with fancy dress being encouraged by all.
