LETTERS from schoolchildren urging national leaders to eradicate world poverty have been handed to the Prime Minister.
Ribble Valley MP, Nigel Evans, presented David Cameron with letters from Longridge High School students, showing their support for children in the world who are not able to get an education.
Mr Evans said: “When I received all the letters from the pupils at Longridge High School I was deeply impressed by how much they obviously cared about global poverty and the role that education can play in eradicating it.
“I was determined to take the letters personally to the Prime Minister and I was not surprised at all that he expressed his complete support for the aims and goals that the pupils wanted to achieve for other children across the globe.”
