ENERGY technology firm Bglobal has signed a deal to supply its ‘smart meters’ to schools in Hampshire.
The company, of Commercial Road, Darwen, will provide ‘sub-metering’ solutions to schools run by the county council.
It means Bglobal will install sub-meters that measure energy usage and data to process the information.
Sales director Ian Rose said: “Sub-metering is an increasingly popular choice for building and facilities managers wanting to gain deeper visibility over exactly where and when energy is being consumed, and the associated costs. “There is no better place to begin the education about energy management and carbon reduction than in our nation’s schools, and we look forward to making ‘energy count’ for the schools and students of Hampshire.”
Stock market-listed Bglobal employs 150 in Darwen. It also owns Chorley-based Utiligroup.
