Staff members at Barnoldswick's Co-op got down to work this week - promoting the store's Community Challenge scheme.
They want individuals and community groups to come up with ideas that will benefit the district, either by brightening up an area or providing new facilities.
"Last year the Co-op gave £1.4 million to more than 2,000 community groups and we want this area to benefit.
"Leaflets with all the details are available in the store," said deputy manager Sarah Atherton.
Shoppers can also join the new Co-operative membership scheme and share in the company's profits.
Members of staff dressed up as builders to promote the Co-op's Community Challenge Scheme.
