A BURNLEY council worker has received an award from Padiham Football Club for the help she gave them.
Tracey Noon, from the council’s neighbourhood working team, ran the Connecting Communities Programme in Padiham last year.
Alan Smith, from Padiham FC, said members nominated Tracey for the Helping Hands award because of all the help and advice she gave.
She helped with publicity for Padiham Sports Week, and gave advice about making a bid for a Connecting Communities grant through the council.
Tracey said: “I was really surprised to get this award. I didn’t know anything about it beforehand.
“Alan from the club just came and found me in Burnley Town Hall and said I’d won the award, which is a really nice engraved glass trophy.”
