A 24-HOUR charity relay race that raises funds for Cancer Research has been hailed as a success.
The fifth annual Rossendale Relay For Life took place this weekend at Marl Pits in Rawtenstall.
As well as a five-a-side football tournament, there was a cheerleading contest and live entertainment from local bands.
A spokesman for the organising committee said: “This year’s Relay for Life has been a great success.
“A big thank you to everyone who took part, donated time or money, dedicated candles or attended fundraising events.
“Your contribution makes a real difference to many lives.”
