CABBIES in Pendle staged an impromptu strike in the early hours of Sunday morning after a taxi driver was attacked by a reveller in Colne town centre.
The taxi drivers, from different firms, decided on the action to put pressure on police to find the attacker.
Councillors Paul White and Joe Cooney, who were in the area, said chaos ensued as a result of people trying to get home.
The incident has been reported to police and taxi drivers are now back at work.
