A TEENAGER who climbed on to a church roof to retrieve his football had to be rescued by firefighters.
The 14-year-old boy become stranded on the roof of St Cuthbert’s Church, Barbon Street, Burnley, at around 9pm on Saturday.
His friends had to call the fire brigade after he froze on the 30ft high roof and was unable to get down.
Firefighters used ladders to bring the youngsters down safely.
