A FAST-growing Nelson firm has announced plans to create 100 new jobs in the next six months.
Communications provider Daisy Group’s latest recruitment drive will see the firm take on staff to fill a variety of roles at its recently extended Lomeshaye headquarters.
The soon-to-be-completed new offices will have a capacity for an additional 700 employees.
As Daisy starts to fill these roles, bosses are inviting people to attend a recruitment day at its Lindred Road headquarters on Thursday July 14.
Chief operating officer Gareth Kirkwood said: “While many businesses are currently feeling economic strain, Daisy is going from strength to strength and is looking forward to investing more time and money into growing the business even further in terms of both staff and customers.
“In order to accommodate this growth we recognise the importance of investing in our systems and facilities.”
Daisy provides communications to the UK business community, supplying voice, mobile, data and systems.
The firm has grown to have more than 75,000 customers and 1,400 employees nationwide.
It houses more than 400 employees at its Nelson base, and with the move of 90 people from the recently acquired SpiriTel in Wigan, the premises are full to capacity.
The latest plan for expansion comes just 12 months after the opening of a new building at the existing office in Nelson.
Mr Kirkwood said: “One of the many reasons for expanding our Nelson base is to make room for the employees we have gained through acquisitions.
“However, the extra space in the new building will also mean there will be a particular focus on recruiting more staff to see us through this period of extreme growth.”
Brian Cookson, Pendle Council’s regeneration director, said: “As one of the biggest employers in Pendle and a significant contributor to the local economy, it is fantastic to see that Daisy is staying loyal to its roots and continuing to invest in local people.”
