A 10-YEAR-old girl was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation following a kitchen fire last night.
Two young adults and the girl were in the property on Harold Avenue, Burnley, at 5.45pm.
Crew manager Kieron Ogden said the cause was accidental and that one possibility was cleaning chemicals had mixed in a cupboard and combusted.
He said the house had smoke alarms and the occupants left the house and called the fire brigade.
Firefighters thought at first it was an electrical fault but after investigating further ruled it out.
The girl reported a tight chest and was given treatment as a precaution.
