An inquest into the death of Olivia Whiteside, seven, who died after a hit-and-run accident has been adjourned.
Coroner Michael Singleton said the inquest could not take place until a police investigation was completed.
Olivia, of Gold Hey Street, Blackburn, died on Thursday, July 27, after being struck by a vehicle at the junction of Billinge Street and Dalton Close.
Officers are still attempting to trace the driver of a black Range Rover which is believed to have been the vehicle which struck the youngster.
