A DAD-OF-TWO was found dead in his bed by partner on Father’s Day.
Alan Crawford, of Briercliffe Road, Burnley, complained of feeling ill on Saturday evening and went to bed early.
The next morning his partner struggled to wake him as their two children got up to give him their Father’s Day presents shortly before 8am.
Ambulance crews were called to the house but Mr Crawford was pronounced dead.
Police were called in to investigate the circumstances of Mr Crawford’s death but found nothing suspicious.
Officers believe ‘an underlying medical condition’ could be the cause.
East Lancashire coroner Richard Taylor has been informed and inquest will be opened in due time.
Mr Crawford’s family were too upset to talk yesterday.
