TRIBUTES have been paid to a ‘thoughtful and caring’ Clitheroe teenager who died after being struck by a train.
Lee Bialecki, 18, was found on the railway line close to Walsden train station near Todmorden at around 3.20pm on Friday.
The former pupil at St Augustine's RC High School in Billington had been on a degree course in computer science at Manchester Metropolitan University.
The 18-year-old had also studied ICT, computing, physics and chemistry at St Mary's College in Blackburn.
Grant Birchby who taught Lee chemistry, said: “St Mary's College staff have been saddened by the tragic news of Lee's death.
“He will be remembered as a thoughtful, reliable and caring student who excelled in the areas of IT and computing.
“Our thoughts and prayers are, of course, with his family and friends at this time."
