A Clitheroe teenager has died after being struck by a train.
Lee Bialecki, 18, was found on the railway line close to Walsden train station near Todmorden at around 3.20pm on Friday.
The former pupil at St Augustine's RC High School in Billington had been on a degree in Computer Science at Manchester Metropolitan University.
The 18-year-old had also studied ICT, Computing, Physics and Chemistry at St Mary's College in Blackburn.
Police were called to the line close to Walsden railway station after a report that a man had been struck by a train.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “BTP and West Yorkshire police officers attended the incident which was reported to police at 3.20pm and is currently being treated as non-suspicious.
“Paramedics from the Yorkshire Ambulance Service also attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“A file will be prepared for the coroner.”
The train involved was the 2.48pm Manchester Victoria to Selby service.
