ACCRINGTON Carnival was given a touch of celebrity glamour when Emmerdale’s Chas Dingle stepped into the breach.
After the soap's 'bad boy' Cain Dingle, played by Jeff Hordley, pulled out at due to filming commitments, actress Lucy Pargeter helped Saturday’s carnival get into full swing.
Hundreds lined the streets to watch the carnival procession led by Accrington Pipe Band followed by the Mayor of Hyndburn Coun Collette McCormack, Carnival Queen Megan Lucie Adams and Carnival Princess Jasmine Icho Baron.
