HOW well do you know Darwen? You can now test your knowledge with a new free quiz for iPhones.
Technology-savvy pupils at Darwen Aldridge Community Academy have created a free downloadable Darwen Quiz application.
The group of 30 youngsters have developed it for the Apple iPhone as part of the Stand Out in Darwen campaign.
The project aimed to give students an insight into the technology industry.
The 12 to 14-year-olds were part of the three-day project which was led by Jon Wetherall and his team at Onteca, an independent games development studio in Liverpool.
Jon, managing director of Onteca, said: “Working with young people is brilliant.
"They understand our industry and were full of ideas.”
Principal Brendan Loughran said: “Stand Out in Darwen aims to provide inspiration, advice, guidance and connections – this project has certainly done that.
“Getting students involved in enterprise and developing innovation and modern ideas is a great way to engage them but also to equip them with the skills and knowledge crucial for development."
