SCORES of Barclays customers in East Lancashire could be in line for compensation after the bank announced plans to pay out following complaints over mis-sold payment protection insurance(PPI).
Barclays said it would pay compensation to anyone who had lodged a grievance before April 20, affecting tens of thousands of customers.
Earlier this year, an elderly couple from Waddington, near Clitheroe, were awarded £23,000 in compensation from Barclays.
The bank lost part of Bob and Lilian Baldwin’s life-savings in a high-risk investment which was wrongly sold as a ‘cautious’ bond.
