MANUFACTURING and engineering firms in Burnley and Padiham have been invited to a special summit on the industry.
They have been called by MP Gordon Birtwistle to the event at Burnley College on Monday, June 20.
The event will bring together small and large manufacturing firms from across the region to discuss manufacturing in the North.
On the agenda will be panel discussions on skills, apprentices, finance and exports.
Big industry names are lined up to take questions on the panel before having a tour of the college and meeting young apprentices.
Mr Birtwistle said: “It is an honour to have this high profile event here in Burnley. East Lancashire is a place I consider to be the home and heart of manufacturing and I look forward to some interesting discussions on the future next Monday.”
