ST WILFRID’S CofE High School, in Blackburn, is celebrating after being rated good by Ofsted.
In a newly-released reported inspectors praised the committed and principled leadership, said students’ achievements were outstanding and the quality of teaching good.
To improve further Ofsted advised the school to look at increasing the proportion of teaching that is good or outstanding in a number of key areas.
Inspectors said that aspects of the school’s work were outstanding.
These included spiritual, moral, social and cultural development and arrangements for keeping pupils safe.
