AN ‘angry’ teenage girl who put the boot in during a street attack has walked free from court.
Stacey Leonard, 18, had kicked victim Mark Hargreaves in the face after he ended up on the ground.
Leonard, who has two previous convictions for violence, knocked the victim out during the melee in Stanley Street, Colne, last July.
Burnley Crown Court heard that Mr Hargreaves suffered a broken arm in the fracas, but the defendant was not accused of causing that.
Leonard, who has a job, wept in the dock as a judge told her she had a temper and if she didn’t do something about it, she would land herself in very serious trouble.
The defendant, of North Street, Colne, admitted assault causing actual bodily harm.
She was given a 12-month supervision order with 120 hours unpaid work and must pay £250 costs.
