A TEENAGE graffiti suspect has been ordered to stand trial for causing £100,000 of damage as a judge remarked: “It seems like scribble to me.”
Ishak Hussain, 19, allegedly scrawled his tag ‘ENDA’ on numerous train carriages and property belonging to a football club in southeast London and Kent.
The criminal damage spree, which Hussain denies he was behind, spans 14 months to March this year.
He entered not guilty pleas on a 21-count indictment covering his alleged ‘bombing’ of trains and sidings at Grove Park, Denmark Hill, Beckenham Hill and Maidstone East, during a hearing at Blackfriars Crown Court.
Hussain is also accused of vandalising a Powerleague club in Canadian Avenue, Catford on February 15 2010.
Emma Jones, prosecuting, said: “This is a criminal damage case involving graffiti on trains around the Beckenham area.
“There are ongoing investigations into his Facebook account and the ENDA tag.”
Hussain, of Steiner Street, Accrington, denies 21 counts of criminal damage between January 11 2010 and March 30 2011.
The judge remanded the defendant in custody.
