GAWTHORPE Hall is in the frame to win an award after seeing its visitor figures rocket in recent years.
The Padiham landmark has been shortlisted in the Visitor Economy category of the annual Burnley Business and Innovation Awards.
Staff will find out whether the museum is among the winners at an awards ceremony on Thursday, June 30, at Towneley Hall.
Mike Calvert, the county council’s cabinet member for adult and community services, said: “Over the past three years, Gawthorpe Hall has gone from strength to strength. Visitor figures rose from 17,500 in 2008 to over 26,000 in 2010.”
