FORMER Coronation Street star Wendi Peters was taught how to cook up a storm at Ewood Park this weekend.
Wendi, who played Cilla Battersby in the ITV1 soap, joined food enthusiasts at the home of Blackburn Rovers this weekend for Nigel Haworth's Fantastic Food Show.
Visitors descended to sample local produce, take part in hands-on workshops and watch cookery demonstrations led by famous local chefs.
These included Nigel Haworth himself - a Michelin-starred chef, and Lisa Allen, finalist of Masterchef 2009 and head chef of Northcoat, Langho.
In one of her demonstrations, Lisa was assisted by Wendi Peters.
It was the second time that the event has taken place, and this year saw some new challenges, including Nigel Haworth's BBQ competition.
This gave entrants the chance to win a new BBQ by wowing the judges in a four-hour contest.
The Grand Finale then saw Nigel Haworth and chef Mark Birchall battle it out with Lisa Allen and chef Terry Laybourne in a competition using a bag of mystery ingredients.
The audience got to decide the winning team.
