A SPECIAL tourist guide has been put together to show off parts of Nelson.

Visitors to Whitefield in Nelson can now pick up a colourful guide which highlights where to shop, eat, drink and stay.

The guide also comes with a handy map of the town and information about regular community events.

Coun Joan Grimshaw, Chair of the Whitefield Local Area Partnership said: “ "A grant was awarded to Whitefield Business Group to produce the visitor’s guide.

“I hope that local residents and visitors will be pleased to see the variety of shops, hostelries and leisure attractions Whitefield has to offer.

“This is our jewel in the crown to be proud of. Get your Visit Whitefield guide to see it."
