WINDOW firm VEKA is in the running for four top awards.
The Burnley company, which makes uPVC materials, has been shortlisted for four gongs at the Burnley Business and Innovation Awards.
It comes just days after VEKA snapped up a larger West Midlands-based rival.
VEKA brand manager Rebecca Mayhew said: “To be shortlisted for four awards awards is an incredible achievement for VEKA, and to win would be fantastic.
“We are proud to be recognised for our hard work and commitment to local initiatives.”
The awards will be held on June 30 at Towneley Hall.
VEKA, which has taken over Bowater Building Products, has refused to rule out job losses from the deal.
However, bosses have insisted the future of the firm’s Billington Road site is secure.
