EAST Lancashire businesses will be briefed on what the county’s local enterprise partnership (LEP) means for them at an event this month.
Firms can learn more about how the LEP, which replaces the North West Development Agency, could impact on the area’s economy and help businesses.
The guest speaker will be Steve Szostak, head of investment at Regenerate Pennine Lancashire.
He said: “The LEP will play a very important role in the future. It will be the conduit for Government initiatives coming into the region and it will also be the way businesses in the area get their voices heard by the policymakers in Westminster.
“The good thing is the newly formed Lancashire LEP is well populated with people representing this region.”
The forum will take place on Wednesday, June 22 at the Blackburn Enterprise Centre in Furthergate.
