A Nelson teenager will appear in court again tomorrow charged with killing a man in a house fire in the town.
The 14-year-old was remanded in custody by magistrates last week when he appeared on a charge of manslaughter.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of killing Damian Heyslop in the blaze last week.
The body of Mr Heyslop, 35, was found in the bathroom of the house in Beaufort Street.
Fire crews were called to the rented property at about 2am last Tuesday, where they found flames bursting out of the front room windows.
