DETECTIVES investigating a violent armed raid at an Oswaldtwistle off-licence have made an arrest.
An 18-year-old local man was arrested this morning on suspicion of robbery and is being questioned by officers today.
On Monday around 9.50pm a lone 20-year-old female cashier at Bargain Booze, Union Road, Oswaldtwistle, was threatened by two men carrying hammers and a crowbar.
They stole £2,000 of cigarettes and cash and told the terrified shop assistant they were ‘going to kill her’.
Police are still appealing for witnesses to the incident to contact them on 0845 1 253545.
