A Darwen man was injured when he was attacked in a pub in Blackpool.
CCTV images have now been released showing a man police want to talk to about the attack in Yates’s Wine Lodge, Market Street, on Saturday.
Police said the victim, a 34-year-old, was talking to a woman in the bar at 11.30pm when a man approached him and repeatedly started punching him before leaving.
He received facial injuries and was treated at Blackpool’s Victoria Hospital.
PC Matt Plummer said, “I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or who perhaps recognises the man in the CCTV pictures to come forward and contact us.
“This was a nasty and unprovoked assault and the person responsible needs to be located and brought to justice.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Blackpool police on 01253 293933 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
