MORE than 70 business leaders and bosses attended a mock tribunal to brief them on employment law.

The event was held at Stanley House Hotel in Mellor by Forbes Solicitors.

Delegates were given an update on the Equality Act, which focused on how it could affect businesses.

Forbes solicitor Jonathan Holden said: “Tribunals can be costly and unpredictable, but hopefully this event has helped our clients to avoid some of the hurdles and pitfalls that can lead to claims.”
