PADIHAM Primary School is celebrating after being awarded the title of Most Innovative Employer by Blackburn College.
The school was given the award after all 30 staff, including Headteacher John Hughes, passed the Level 2 IT Users qualification over a six month period.
The award was presented at the Business and Computing Employer Awards in praise of the staff’s commitment to personal and professional development in ICT skills.
Mr Hughes said: “As a Lancashire ICT league school, we believe strongly in developing not only our children’s IT skills but also our staff’s to the best of our ability.
“With competence on the computer comes confidence, and we’ve seen our staff’s IT skills come on leaps and bounds, which in turn means they can be more confident in teaching the children.
“I can’t thank the college enough for all of their help.”
Neil Wilkinson, the IT Users assessor at Blackburn College, said: “Padiham Primary School is a brilliant example of a modern day school’s commitment to its staff and students.”
