SOME of Lancashire’s most wanted criminals are to be featured in two special Crimewatch TV shows next week.
Also to be highlighted is one of Lancashire’s biggest ever cannabis factories, which was discovered last month.
The Crimewatch Roadshow is a series of five episodes from Monday to Friday focusing on crime in the North West.
Officers are looking for help after a detached house containing a £300,000 cannabis factory was found off Bolton Road in Blackburn.
Around 600 plants were found and Sgt Paul Schofield said: “One of lines of inquiry we are looking into is whether it was built solely for the purpose of a drugs factory.”
The drugs farm will be one of three reconstruction completed on the Monday show.
Also on the show, mugshots of wanted criminals will be used.
The popular daytime show will be aired between 9:15am and 10am each weekday morning.
Presenter Rav Wilding will be in the studio while Miriam O’Reilly is out on the road presenting from a different location each day.
She will be live from Morecambe on Monday and Chorley on Tuesday.
As well as information about crimes there will be reports on the work of police in crime prevention in the county.
Lancashire Constabulary’s Chief Constable, Steve Finnigan said: “The programme was very popular last year and we were keen to take the opportunity, not only to showcase the hard work that goes on in Lancashire every day, but also to appeal for information about incidents and crimes that we are keen to progress enquires on and that mean the most to communities.”
