Pendle Council bosses are to speak to roads officers at county hall about introducing traffic calming to Birtwistle Avenue, Colne.
Calls for measures to cut speeds have come local residents.
A 70-name petition was presented to Lancashire County Council requesting speed bumps or alternative traffic calming methods.
Highways chiefs say the road is already a 20mph zone but signs have yet to be erected.
The county council said it was aware of concerns and had indicated to Pendle Council that further traffic calming measures could be introduced.
