AN East Lancashire student's work came up smelling of roses at the Southport Flower Show.
Helen Chaffer from Halifax Road, Brierfield, a garden design student at Myerscough College, received a medal after impressing judges with her outdoor creation.
Students at the college have designed and built a range of gardens using this year's theme of water to come up with inspirational designs.
The 39 year-old designed a garden incorporating water conservation strategies.
