A PERVERT has admitted that he pushed his mobile phone under a toilet cubicle partition and made a video recording of a woman using the loo.
Blackburn magistrates heard the woman snatched the phone out of Kevin Forrest’s hand and refused to give it back when he confronted her.
She later viewed the video clip and saw herself getting up off the toilet.
Forrest, 47, of Eastwood Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to voyeurism by recording another person doing a sexual act for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification.
He was remanded on bail for the preparation of a pre-sentence report and for dangerousness assessment after the magistrates were told he had a previous conviction for a sexual offence when he was 19 years old.
Joanne Close, prosecuting, said the victim had been out for a meal with family members and they had gone into Blackburn town centre afterwards.
She had only had one alcoholic drink.
She noticed Forrest staring at her and her party while they were in the Postal Order in Darwen Street which made her feel uncomfortable.
“They had been in about half an hour when the victim and a friend went to the toilet together,” said Mrs Close.
“She heard someone in the next cubicle but thought nothing of it.
“As she was pulling up her underwear and fixing her dress she saw a hand holding a mobile phone under the divide.”
They reported the incident to the manager of the pub.
“The police viewed CCTV footage which clearly showed Forrest staring at the victim and her party and then following her and her friend into the toilet,” said Mrs Close.
