TOCKHOLES Parish Council is debating whether to continue employing a lengthsman to carry out maintenance in the area.
Lancashire County Council have pulled funding for the lengthsman, whose duties include collecting litter and carrying out repairs.
Blackburn with Darwen Council services such as grass cutting are also being curtailed because of budget cuts.
A Tockholes Parish Council spokesperson said: “The Parish Council will, with the assistance of Coun Jean Rigby, continue to maintain pressure on the authority to make sure Tockholes receives its ‘fair share’ of what is available.”
